We were delighted to hear that Heritage Weekends is a finalist in the Travel Media Awards 2023. We’re competing with four other finalists for the title Guide of the Year.

Nominated guides in this category were published as an app, a book or online between 1 May 2022 and 30 April 2023 and contain a minimum of 5,000 words. The other finalists are all highly impressive, so we don’t want to get too excited…

The accommodation in which we stayed while researching the book was never as grand as The Savoy in London, where the winners will be announced on 23 October. The Savoy describes itself as the first purpose-built deluxe hotel in Britain.

It’ll be a pleasure to be there (and a greater pleasure if we win). Keep your fingers crossed for us…
